Nissan’s Four Strategic Technology Fields
Core Value of Nissan technologies: Trusted Driving Pleasure

CO2 Reduction Scenario

Fuel-Efficient Powertrain Technology : Development Concept
- Technology developments for different emission agents: cars, drivers and society

Road Map of Fuel-Efficient Technologies
- Based on NGP2010, various fuel-saving technologies have been launched.

Newly developed Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid
- Developed to deliver superior efficient 1-motor, 2-clutch(Intelligent Dual Clutch Control) parallel full hybrid system. Highly powerful lithium-ion batteries are used to achieve high-response linear acceleration, and fuel consumption equivalent to that of compact cars. The hybrid system is scheduled to equip Infiniti M in 2011.

Structure of newly developed Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid
- Lightweight, Compact
By adopting 1-motor 2-clutch (Intelligent Dual Clutch Control) system instead of exsisting torque converter of 7-speed AT, realized weight reduction and compact structure with parts reduction.

Operating principle of Intelligent dual clutch control
- Improved efficiency by connecting/disconnecting engine.

Comparable fuel economy to compact cars
- Realized comparable fuel economy to compact cars by V6 3.5L.
- Fuel economy at high speed has been improved dramatically compared to conventional Hybrid vehicle
- According to the experimental data of fleet driving in US, engine would be stopped for about half of driving time.

Enhanced response, Direct feeling
- Realized high-response and direct driving with Li-ion battery and motor control which can provide large amounts of electricity instantaneously.
